Abandon Agony
Abandon Agony is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Trollhattan, formed in 2023. Rooted in the legacy of the Gothenburg sound, the band combines aggressive riffing with melodic depth and modern intensity.
Drawing inspiration from acts like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and Arch Enemy, Abandon Agony blends classic Scandinavian elements with a contemporary edge, creating a sound that is both familiar and evolving.
The band made their debut with the EP Dark Matter, which established their musical direction and laid the foundation for what was to come. The release has since been reissued, with all tracks included on their upcoming full-length album.
Their debut album Endbringer is set for release on May 22. The first single, "Writing on the Wall", was released on March 20 alongside an official music video, followed by the second single "Polar Shift" on April 24.
Since their formation, Abandon Agony has focused on building a strong live presence, bringing their music to the stage with intensity and precision. In 2026, the band will take an important step forward with a performance at Sweden Rock Festival.
